Test appliances validate PCIe 5.0 SSD performance
With two enterprise-level test appliances from Teledyne LeCroy, medium to large test teams can check the performance of PCIe 5.0 solid-state drives (SSDs). The OakGate R300-G5 Pro and the DE200-G5 Pro, along with an E-Series 16-bay expansion enclosure, help data centers test and debug their high-capacity SSD storage configurations.
Enterprise-grade SSDs are expected to operate at higher data transfer speeds (I/O operations/s) when compared with consumer-grade SSDs. They consume more power, need to interoperate seamlessly in high-capacity systems with many other devices, and operate 24 hours per day with longer lifetimes. Enterprise system and storage engineers need to validate SSD performance, compliance, and functionality to ensure that overall data center performance will meet expectations.
The R300-G5 Pro is a 3U rack-mount test appliance that has a slot density of 8 to 16 slots with a DUT capacity for 8 to 48 DUTs. It accommodates up to two 8-bay plug-in modules. The DE200-G5 Pro desktop appliance has 8 slots and a DUT capacity for 8 to 24 DUTs, while accommodating one 8-bay plug-in module. These Pro appliances can be scaled up even more with an optional E-Series 16-bay expansion enclosure. Modules and enclosures support U.2, M.2, U.3, EDSFF E1.S/L, and EDSFF E3.S/L form-factors.
